Tony and Joe's Seafood Place: A Taste of Coastal America in D.C.

We have a wonderful experience here! We started out with the meatballs and oysters, and moved on to the crab cod and fillet strips. Absolutely delicious food all around! And of course, the view of the water was beautiful.

We always have a great time at Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place! This was our second time here, and it definitely won’t be our last. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrive. The staff does a great job balancing professionalism with a relaxed, upbeat energy that fits the vibe perfectly. The atmosphere is one of the best parts — lively but not overwhelming, with a fun waterfront feel. The views are absolutely beautiful. Between the great service, amazing views, and overall vibe, it’s a spot we genuinely enjoy coming back to. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Its been years since I have been to T&J. From the calamari, house salad, and the great crab cake it was superb. My friend had the whole fried fish and it was fresh and succulent. We also had charred veggies and dessert. Give T&J a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

If you’re craving a variety of seafood options, Tony & Joe’s is sure to satisfy—especially with the added bonus of outdoor seating and a beautiful waterfront view. The hospitality was top-notch; the staff greeted us with warm smiles and were very accommodating when we arrived early for our reservation. We were seated promptly with no wait. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. While allergy-friendly options were somewhat limited, the menu does clearly mark gluten-free choices, which is helpful. This spot is definitely on our list for a return visit the next time we’re in Georgetown. Highly recommend! Tip: Toast or grill the buns for sandwiches—it adds a perfect touch of texture and flavor.

Absolutely the BEST crab cakes we have ever had in our entire lives!!!! No fillers just wonderful, moist, delicious crab!!!! You do not need any sauce or even lemon it was that amazing!! We are so grateful for our uber driver Jose for recommending this restaurant!!! The clam chowder was also excellent and the Cesar salad was perfectly dressed. The lentils, spinach, and rice were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. This really was a perfect meal. We topped it off with a beautiful dessert and the service was excellent too.

We settled on Tony and Joe’s. I ordered the 16-ounce ribeye steak. Let me just say, the meal itself was outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful at medium, with just the right amount of seasoning to let the quality of the meat shine. The fries that came with it were crisp, golden, and well-seasoned. To pair with my meal, I ordered a Cabernet, which was phenomenal. It had a rich, smooth flavor that complemented the steak perfectly. The only downside was the service, which I’d rate about a 3 out of 5. While our main server was polite, the attention was lacking. I could not get my card back after the server had swiped it 22 minutes prior to me going into the restaurant to ask for it back. We had to flag down another server just to get a drink refill. That small hiccup aside, the food and wine more than made up for it. The bar tender beforehand was amazing and we never hit bottom of a drink. Overall, Tony and Joe’s delivered a fantastic dining experience when it came to the flavors on the plate and in the glass. If they could tighten up the service, it would easily be a perfect night out. P.S. GET the oyster shooters!!!!!!!!! They won't disappoint.

It’s a nice place overall. It was pretty empty when we got there but everything was pretty normal. I think we right in between the lunch and dinner crowd. Food was excellent! The view is nice as well- definitely going back when there is better and it’s not too hot. They are able to host quite a few people. Very nice view and I think they have a second floor (I thought I saw a room being set up).

My second time here and it was just as good as the first time. The tall black guy, the manager “Kembe” he was absolutely wonderful on both of our visits. Very hospitable and friendly servers. I use the Groupon and it is probably the best deal on Groupon. I love eating here. It’s not 9.5 or 9.9 it is 10/10. The food is nice portions and absolutely delicious. It has a nice date night vibe, ambiance is on point, location is on point, food is on point, service is on point, pricing is fair. My new favorite restaurant in DC and I’m a tough critic. This place is gold.
